Instead of emailing them, cluttering inboxes, and using quotas, they can put them on S:, and the other employee can pick them up from S: and place them in a more convenient place (e.g., M: or P:). Every few months, the IT department scans this drive and contacts the creators of various files/folders to move or delete them. All mobile operating systems are supported for VU email synchronization. K: (Departments) This drive is used to store data common to employees in a department. For example, admissions and other departments have a folder on this drive that only they can access and that all members of that department can access together.

For example, instead of emailing a document to a department, documents can easily be shared by storing them on that drive. M: (Faculty) The faculty reader is a collection of records, one per faculty member. A faculty member`s record on this reader is jointly accessible by the faculty member and their support staff. Access to faculty records on this drive is based on the assignments of the support staff for each faculty member. Waivers (support staff who need access to a faculty member they do not normally support) can only be approved by a faculty member or Renee Hawkins, the support staff coordinator. A: (Research) The search drive is a collection of folders for collaborative research or project work to share documents/files with members of the research team or project team. An example would be data storage, in which one or more faculty members must exchange data confidentially with academic staff or with each other.
