The Tennessee 19th Judicial District Chancery Court handles a variety of cases serving Montgomery and Robertson counties. Cases decided by this court include: The Montgomery County Registrar and Principal Office, Tennessee, serves the Registrar, attorneys, and citizens of Montgomery County by providing quality, courteous, and responsive court services. Ongoing changes in legislation, superior court decisions, rules and regulations (e.g., the recent Blakely Supreme Court decision) will continue to result in significant and unexpected increases in the workload associated with initiating and hearing cases. Ben graduated from the University of Memphis School of Law in 2005. He was called to the Tennessee Bar in the fall of 2005 and practiced with Batson Nolan in Clarksville and Springfield as an associate in the firm`s litigation division until 2011. From 2011 until the 2022 election cycle, Ben ran the Dean law firm in Springfield, TN, which operated primarily in Robertson County, and practiced regularly in Davidson, Sumner, Cheatham and Montgomery counties. Prior to being elected Chancellor of the 19th Judicial District, Ben maintained a general legal practice in probate, family law, criminal law, Social Security disability, and civil litigation (with a focus on plaintiff assault and federal citizenship cases). During his 18 years as an attorney, Ben served in Tennessee state trial courts in more than 20 different counties. He was admitted to the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee and had served as chancellor from the 19th century before his election. The judicial district is an active federal practice. Ben lives in Springfield with his wife, Diana, who works as a manager for GE Healthcare in the field of nuclear medicine technology (radiology).
