Information and Eligibility: The American Legion Legacy Scholarship is a very important scholarship offered to the child or children of an active army and the United States National Guard of the United States Armed Forces, as well as to military reservists who were federalized on or after September 11, 2001 and who died on active duty. The American Legion Legacy Scholarship helps provide additional funding to these children in need, who typically receive a government college scholarship that covers just over half of their full university education needs.
