The Justice Education Society of British Columbia (JES) is a not-for-profit organization with over 30 years of experience teaching public law and building the capacity of the justice system in Canada and abroad. In Canada, the company helps more than 700,000 British Columbians learn more about our justice system and resolve their legal issues. At the international level, JES has programs in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama and Guyana that work with national institutions to strengthen justice systems, access to justice and citizen security. In British Columbia, we help the public with legal education and information. Our websites provide advice to people with disputes, and our online courses help separated couples and tenants in British Columbia. We organize workshops and webinars for immigrants and Indigenous groups, anyone can get their legal questions answered using our Ask JES phone and chat service. Through in-person and online training, as well as online courses and legal support resources, JES helps people understand their legal rights and take the next step toward resolving their legal issues. JES has been offering programs for schools and students for over 30 years and has trained over 1 million students in British Columbia. Our focus is on increasing the legal capacity of young people.
